Muscat – Photographer Ahmed al Hosni has been capturing images of the season of apricots and peaches in Wakan village, in the wilayat of Nakhl, South Batinah, for some years.

Wakan attracts a large number of people who visit to enjoy the season of apricots and peaches which begins in January and continues till March. The trees begin flowering in February and bear fruit in April.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, Hosni said, “I love photographing green landscapes in Oman. The season of apricots and peaches in Wakan village is one of my favourites. My aim is to promote domestic tourism and showcase Oman’s beauty and diversity to the world – nature, the night sky over the desert, the people, camels and horses.
