Sharqiyah – Environment Authority (EA) in South Sharqiyah Governorate has detected a significant environmental violation involving the illegal disposal of waste. The breach consisted of discharging untreated sewage water directly into a valley stream and areas designated for groundwater recharge.

This act represents a clear violation of established environmental laws. Consequently, official legal procedures are currently being finalised against those responsible for the incident.

In light of this event, the Environment Authority has issued a formal reminder to all parties regarding the necessity of adhering to environmental systems and laws. Strict compliance is essential to preserve the ecosystem and to avoid potential legal accountability.
