Dakhliyah – The completion rate of the new Samail Hospital project in Dakhliyah Governorate has reached more than 89%, representing a major leap for the local healthcare system. Eng Yousef bin Yaqoub Ambu Ali, Director General of Projects and Engineering Services at Ministry of Health, stated that the project spans a land area of about 250,000 sq m, with a total building area of nearly 66,000 sq m and an investment cost of approximately RO 45 million.

The hospital starts with a bed capacity of 170 inpatient beds, totaling 252 beds, with potential future expansion to 300 beds. Its main building comprises a basement and 4 floors, housing 5 operating theatres, an emergency department, outpatient clinics, laboratories, intensive care units, and specialized centres.

Expected to finish by the end of the year, the facility will reduce patient transfers outside the governorate and ease pressure on other medical institutions.
