Dhofar – Salalah will host the 7th meeting of the coordination committee in economic, trade, and industrial fields, stemming from the Omani-Saudi Coordination Council. The session features participation from officials and representatives of both nations to advance economic integration and strategic partnerships.

The Omani side is headed by H E Eng. Ghalib bin Said Al Mamari, Undersecretary for Commerce and Industry, while the Saudi side is led by Rakan bin Waddah Tarabzouni, Undersecretary for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Planning.

Discussions focus on evaluating progress on joint initiatives, reviewing proposed projects, and minimizing trade hurdles. Key focus areas include strengthening supply chain integration, advancing future factories, increasing non-oil exports, and ensuring equal treatment for Omani and Saudi companies in government procurement. Furthermore, the meeting marks the signing of the executive programme activating the memorandum of understanding between Oman’s Ministry of Economy and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Economy and Planning for the years 2026 to 2028.
