Muscat – AmCham Oman and DHL Express reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Oman’s SME community by bringing local entrepreneurs and corporate leaders together for an evening of focused relationship-building at the Diplomatic Club on Tuesday, August 18.
The SME Speed Networking Event formed part of the ongoing AmCham Oman SME Forum series, powered by DHL Express and delivered in partnership with Riyada. The event was also supported by Abdullah Al Moshyqri Advocates and Legal Consultants, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and venue partner the Diplomatic Club.
For small and medium-sized businesses, growth is driven not only by knowledge or access to resources, but by relationships. The right introduction can lead to a new client, trusted adviser, corporate supplier opportunity, mentor, or long-term business partner. The event was designed around that principle, creating a space where SME owners could expand their networks and build relationships with people capable of helping their businesses move forward.

During a series of structured three-minute networking rounds, entrepreneurs introduced their businesses directly to corporate executives and other SME owners. Participants discussed potential partnerships, local supply-chain opportunities, mentorship, referrals, and areas of mutual interest before continuing their conversations during an informal reception.
“Networking is at the heart of business, particularly for SMEs,” said Rebecca Olson, CEO of AmCham Oman. “A single conversation can open the door to a customer, a partnership, an introduction, or an opportunity that changes the direction of a growing company. AmCham Oman’s role is to bring the right people into the room and create the conditions for those relationships to begin. We are tremendously grateful to DHL Express for sharing that vision and powering this important series, and to Abdullah Al Moshyqri Advocates and Legal Consultants and Enterprise Rent-A-Car for their valuable support and commitment to Oman’s SME community.”
“Supporting Oman’s SME ecosystem is central to our commitment in the region,” added Yasser Al Lamki, Multichannel Territory Manager & SME specialist at DHL Express. “Partnering with AmCham Oman across this entire series allows us to help local business owners unlock new commercial channels, gain practical insights, and connect with global-standard logistics and trade opportunities.”

“For SMEs, the right connection can make a real difference. We’re proud to support an event that brings Oman’s entrepreneurs and business community together and creates opportunities for meaningful partnerships,” said Founder, Abdullah Al Moshyqri Advocates and Legal Consultants.
The SME Forum series was established by AmCham Oman and DHL Express to support the long-term growth of local enterprises through business education, mentorship, access to expertise, and meaningful commercial connections. Each event addresses a different element of building and growing a successful business while strengthening the wider community surrounding Oman’s entrepreneurs.

The evening was made possible through the support of partners committed to the development of Oman’s SME ecosystem:

DHL Express: Title sponsor powering the full SME Forum series
