Muscat – Japanese Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu is scheduled to visit Oman on August 20 as part of his diplomatic tour to Saudi Arabia and Oman from August 17 to August 22. The visit aims to address the critical situation involving Iran and explore avenues for de-escalation through frank discussions with key regional partners.

During the discussions, Minister Motegi will engage with Omani officials to deepen cooperation on ensuring the free and safe navigation of vessels through the vital Strait of Hormuz. Furthermore, both nations will reaffirm their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations across a wide range of fields, bolstering energy security, and expanding their comprehensive partnership.
