Muscat – During the Khareef season, the Ministry of Health (MoH) has emphasised the importance of safety near valleys, waterfalls, and beaches, noting that quick actions can prevent fatal outcomes during water-related emergencies.

Authorities advise the public to recognize the correct emergency steps if a person experiences drowning. Essential procedures include checking the victim’s responsiveness and breathing, contacting emergency medical services or rescue teams immediately, and initiating cardiopulmonary resuscitation if the individual is unresponsive and the rescuer is trained.
