Muscat – Muscat Gas Company has officially clarified that no price increases have been applied to the sale of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders for ultimate consumers. All applicable prices remain strictly in accordance with the official rates approved by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion alongside relevant government authorities.

The company emphasized that a recently circulated letter was merely an internal communication directed to one of the distribution stations, pertaining strictly to commercial and business arrangements between the firm and its partners.

Officials stressed that this internal correspondence does not represent any form of price hike for final consumers. Furthermore, any sale outside official pricing is considered a violation, and the company confirmed it will refer anyone attempting to exploit internal memos for unjustified price increases or consumer deception to competent legal authorities. Finally, the administration urged everyone to exercise accuracy and rely exclusively on official channels for information.
