Salalah – Oman Housing Bank has launched a digital waiting list platform for housing finance, allowing citizens to register electronically for home loans without visiting a branch during the initial stages of the application process.

The platform was unveiled on Monday during the opening of the real estate exhibition held alongside the Dhofar Khareef Season 2026, under the patronage of H H Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar.

The launch also marks the start of processing housing finance applications submitted in April and May, covering 1,252 requests across the bank’s branches with a combined financing value of more than RO63mn.

The new service enables applicants to create an online account, enter their personal, employment and housing details, specify financing preferences, upload supporting documents and receive updates throughout the application process until their turn for financing is reached.

According to the bank, the platform is designed to reduce paperwork, minimise branch visits and improve transparency while making the housing finance application process faster and more convenient.

The launch forms part of the bank’s ‘Book Your Turn’ campaign, which promotes digital services aimed at simplifying access to housing finance and improving the customer experience.

Musa bin Masoud Al Jadidi, CEO of Oman Housing Bank, said the platform represents a significant step in the bank’s digital transformation strategy and supports the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 to deliver smarter and more efficient public services.

He said the initiative is intended to redesign the customer journey by enabling citizens to begin the financing process online, reducing waiting times and accelerating approvals.

Al Jadidi added that faster processing of housing finance applications would also support urban development by improving access to financing for homebuyers.

He said Oman Housing Bank would continue investing in digital technologies and plans to introduce additional smart services to further simplify and accelerate access to housing finance.
