London, UK – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a telephone conversation with King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on Friday, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation.

They reviewed regional and international efforts to promote calm and de-escalation in a way that strengthens regional security and stability and ensures the safety of maritime navigation.

The call followed a telephone conversation on Thursday between His Majesty the Sultan and French President Emmanuel Macron during which they discussed the latest regional developments and the rapid escalation of tensions.

His Majesty and President Macron also reviewed regional and international efforts to contain the situation in a manner that safeguards regional security and stability, while preserving the safety of maritime navigation in accordance with international law.
