Muscat – Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has awarded long-term engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) framework agreements to a consortium of Egypt’s ENPPI and Petrojet, in contracts valued at more than US$6bn, according to Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

The ministry said the agreements are part of its strategy to expand Egyptian oil and gas companies into international markets and boost exports of engineering and technical services.

The framework agreements, extending over six years, enable the consortium to compete for major EPC projects awarded by PDO with a combined value exceeding US$6bn.

The ministry said the agreements reflect growing confidence in the technical expertise and execution capabilities of Egyptian companies and mark a significant step in expanding their presence in the Gulf energy market.

It added that the partnership is expected to support knowledge transfer, strengthen regional cooperation and contribute to the delivery of major energy projects in line with international quality, safety and operational standards.

The agreements are also expected to support Oman’s in-country value programme by encouraging collaboration with local suppliers and contractors while contributing to the objectives of Vision 2040.
