Muscat – Oman Cricket (OC) has officially opened registrations for the 2026–27 Domestic Cricket Season, inviting clubs and corporate teams from across the Sultanate to be part of the country’s most competitive tournament.

As the cornerstone of cricket development in Oman, the domestic structure continues to play a pivotal role in nurturing talent, strengthening competition, and creating opportunities for players to progress through the ranks.

The sustained success of Oman Cricket on the international stage is a direct reflection of the strength and depth of its domestic cricket pathway.

Following the summer break, the new season is scheduled to commence in September, with competitions taking place across all divisions, including Premier, Intermediate, and A to J divisions. Team registrations are now open, providing clubs with the opportunity to join another exciting season of cricket that promises high-quality competition, player development and community engagement.

Teams can complete their registration online through www.omancricket.org under the Registrations section. The deadline for team registrations is August 2, while player registrations will close on August 9. For further assistance, interested teams may contact Zeeshan Siddique (+968 92204745).

Oman Cricket Chief Development Officer Duleep Mendis encouraged teams to seize the opportunity and become part of the growing cricket in the country. “The domestic season is where dreams begin, and opportunities are created. We warmly welcome both existing clubs and new teams to participate and experience the excitement of our domestic competitions.”

Highlighting the continued growth of the game, Mendis emphasised the importance of the domestic league in shaping the future of Omani cricket. “Our domestic structure has evolved into a highly competitive environment that challenges players to perform consistently and develop their skills. It has become an important talent pipeline for Oman Cricket, with several players earning opportunities at higher levels through strong domestic performances. We look forward to another season filled with passion, sportsmanship and memorable cricket.”

The previous season saw the participation of more than 60 teams across multiple divisions, ranging from the Premier Division to the J Division, reflecting the growing popularity and reach of the sport throughout the Sultanate.

With cricket continuing to attract new participants and audiences, Oman Cricket anticipates another strong response for the upcoming season.

Registrations are currently open for the Senior Men’s Domestic Cricket Season, while details regarding Junior and Women’s Cricket registrations will be announced in the following week.
