Muscat – Ministry of Labour (MoL) has executed a series of intensive field inspection campaigns across the Dhofar Governorate to monitor compliance with the official midday work ban. This initiative is designed to ensure that private sector establishments adhere to the ministerial decision prohibiting outdoor work during the hottest hours of the day to prevent heat exhaustion.

The Ministry emphasizes the necessity of strictly following these designated times to preserve the health and safety of the workforce. Legal measures will be taken against any establishments found to be in violation of these safety protocols.

The inspection efforts have covered various areas including Shaleem, Marmul, Nimr, Amal, Al Noor, and Harweel. The total number of workers covered by the database includes 9,028 Omanis and 7,764 expatriate workers, with a total of 1,128 beneficiaries identified through these monitoring activities. The Ministry of Labour remains committed to enforcing these standards to ensure a safe working environment across all sectors.
