Muscat – Muscat Municipality has introduced formal health requirements for vehicles engaged in the transportation of sewage water to ensure public safety and environmental protection. Operators must adhere to the following mandatory standards:

• Safe Disposal: Sewage water must be discharged solely at designated, authorised sites.
• Dedicated Vehicles: Tankers must be used exclusively for transporting sewage water and are prohibited from being utilised for any other purpose.
• Secure Containment: Tanks must be tightly sealed to prevent any leakage and control odours, thereby maintaining hygiene.
• Clear Documentation: Vehicles must display accurate data, including the nature of the activity, tank capacity, and valid licensing information.
• Regular Maintenance: Systematic cleaning is required to ensure the integrity of the tank and protect it from contaminants.
