Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iranian Parliament Speaker, and Abbas Araghchi, Iranian Foreign Minister, at Al Barakah Palace. During the meeting, the discussions focused on the latest developments regarding Iran-US negotiations.

His Majesty received updates on the various tracks of these talks and expressed his support for their success, aiming for a peaceful and final settlement of outstanding issues. Key topics included the safety and flow of maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, the nuclear file, and other regional challenges. The meeting was attended by H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, Foreign Minister and Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large at the Foreign Ministry, alongside Musa Farhang, Iranian Ambassador to Oman.
