Pakistan – United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran have reached a peace agreement to formally end their ongoing conflict. Following intensive diplomatic negotiations facilitated by Pakistan and other regional partners, both nations have committed to an immediate and permanent cessation of all military operations across all fronts, including in Lebanon.

United States President Donald Trump confirmed the conclusion of the deal, highlighting that the agreement would result in the immediate lifting of the US naval blockade on Iranian ports. Furthermore, the pact is expected to restore freedom of navigation by reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime route for global energy supplies.

The official signing of the peace accord is scheduled to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, this coming Friday, June 19. Prior to the formal ceremony, mediators will oversee a series of technical meetings to establish the framework for the agreement’s implementation.

Leaders from both nations have expressed optimism that this diplomatic breakthrough will foster regional stability and economic recovery. The international community has largely welcomed the move as a vital step toward ending a period of significant volatility in the Middle East, paving the way for a more secure and predictable future for global trade.
