Muscat – Ministry of Education (MoE) has issued a clarification regarding discussions on social media platforms about potential reductions to school hours for the remainder of the current academic year. In a statement issued by Ministry confirmed that the officially approved school day programme remains in effect without any amendments. This decision follows Ministerial Decree No. 103/2025, which established the annual calendar for schools for the 2025/2026 academic period.

The Ministry emphasized the necessity of strictly adhering to the scheduled school timings to maintain the regularity of the educational process and achieve set targets. This commitment ensures that the learning process aligns with the approved timeline and supports student progress. Furthermore, the Ministry called upon all stakeholders to cooperate in supporting student regularity and reinforcing a commitment to learning time. Adherence to the full school day is considered a fundamental pillar for the success of the educational system.
