Muscat – The Omani capital, Muscat, has delivered outstanding success in hosting the third stage of the 2026 Global Champions Arabians Tour (GCAT). Held over three days against the stunning backdrop of Al Mouj Muscat, adjacent to The St. Regis, the event unfolded in a thrilling atmosphere that celebrated the beauty and heritage of the Arabian horse. This edition reinforces Oman’s position as a premier global destination for this prestigious sport, marking the third consecutive year the championship has been held in the Sultanate—a testament to the deep-rooted partnership between international organisers and Omani cultural and equestrian institutions.

The event transcended sport, evolving into a vibrant cultural and social festival that attracted thousands of citizens, residents, and tourists. The traditional “Souk-style” village reflected the public’s passion for Omani heritage, featuring traditional crafts and authentic cuisine blended with world-class hospitality. In the context of organisational excellence, Dhubiya bint Sami Al Busaidi stood out as a key leadership figure behind the success of this international event. In the Yearling Colts Championship, AJ Fayed (Ajman Stud, UAE) was crowned with Gold, Dinar Al Shaqab took the Silver, and E.S. Ghanem (Amara Stables) claimed the Bronze.

The excitement continued in the Junior categories. In the Junior Fillies Championship, Al Aryam Harbah (Sheikh Khalifa Bin Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, UAE) dazzled to take the Gold, with D Rowa (Dubai Arabian Horse Stud) taking Silver and Expectations Al Wajba (Al Wajba Stud, Qatar) taking Bronze. For the Junior Colts, Synatra (Al Shaqab) took the Gold, while Aesar AlWajba (Al Wajba Stud) extended his lead in the rankings with a Silver finish, and Sinan Al Bahya (Ajman Stud, UAE) secured the Bronze.

In the Senior Mare Championship, D Najlah (Dubai Arabian Horse Stud) captivated the audience to win Gold, with Al Aryam Atab (H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Bin Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan) taking Silver and Thorya Al Hawajer (Al Thamer Stud) claiming Bronze. The event concluded with the Senior Stallion Championship, where D Shahhar (Dubai Arabian Horse Stud) was crowned with Gold, D Samed (SK Arabians) took Silver, and Al Aryam Shklaan (Al Aryam Arabians) took Bronze.

The hosting of this championship in Muscat for the third year running confirms the Sultanate’s success in providing infrastructure and organisational capabilities that rival major world capitals.
