1 Apr 2026 Royal Academy of Management marks 3 years with 12,000 beneficiaries

Muscat – The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) marked its third anniversary on Wednesday with its second annual media briefing, outlining performance indicators, international accreditation and its 2026 operating model aligned with Oman Vision 2040.

Held under the theme ‘Impact in Action’, the event brought together around 80 media professionals and government communication representatives. The academy said the briefing reflects its commitment to transparency, impact measurement and engagement with national media.

Since its establishment in 2022, RAM said 11,984 beneficiaries have participated in its programmes, dialogues and research initiatives. In 2025, 2,258 participants took part in activities, bringing the cumulative number of direct programme participants to 4,006.

During the year, RAM delivered 19 executive programmes and 13 dialogue sessions. Research contributions were published in its AlEdari journal, alongside initiatives in local governance. The academy reported an overall service satisfaction rate of 88.6%.

A key milestone was the award of the LIFT (Learning for Impact Today and Tomorrow) Certification from the European Foundation for Management Development. RAM said it is the first institution in the GCC to receive the certification, which assesses impact and sustainability across the learning value chain.

The academy also partnered with Thinkers50 to deliver the Future Readiness Award. The 2025 edition was won by futurist Amy Webb and drew more than 300 submissions globally.

Within its policy mandate, RAM introduced the National Future Readiness Framework and Index in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy. The framework is designed as a rating instrument to support evidence-based policymaking and institutional preparedness.

Research initiatives include studies on a ‘triple partnership’ model, economic enablers for governorates, a national artificial intelligence roadmap and decentralisation. Analytical papers were also presented at the Local Governance Forum and circulated as policy briefs across government entities.

During the briefing, RAM unveiled its 2026 operating model structured around three pillars: executive learning, strategic initiatives and sectoral interactive units. Planned programmes include artificial intelligence, international negotiation, leadership and logistics.

As part of its digital strategy, RAM launched eight interactive digital programmes within an integrated learning ecosystem linking participants and alumni. The platform combines digital and in-person delivery and includes a digital knowledge library. Under the National ‘One Government Team’ initiative, 47 workshops were delivered in its first year, targeting 5,000 employees across 19 government entities. A total of 2,590 employees participated, with a reported 95% satisfaction rate. The academy said the first cycle will conclude in 2026, followed by an impact assessment and model refinement.

RAM also launched the Certified Executive Learning Trainer Programme to qualify 25 participants and build a national pool of facilitators.
