Muscat – Civil Aviation Authority, through the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre, has issued a weather update forecasting the return of cloud formations.

This weather activity is expected to begin from the evening of today, Monday, August 17, and will continue for several days. The potential return of thunderstorm activity will affect parts of the Al Hajar Mountains and neighboring areas gradually, continuing over the coming days in varying intensity.

Expected weather phenomena include varying levels of rainfall, wadis and mountain streams, lightning and thunder strikes, occasional hail, poor horizontal visibility, and active downdraft winds causing dust.

The public is advised to pay attention to these expected weather conditions.
