Muscat – Ministry of Labour (MoL) has highlighted the major differences between licensed and unlicensed training institutions to guide trainees and the public.

Licensed institutions operate under the direct supervision of the General Directorate of Private Training Institutions, undergo regular evaluations based on approved standards, and grant official certificates that are duly recognised by the Ministry of Labour.

In contrast, unlicensed institutions offer training programmes or courses without obtaining official permits from the relevant authorities, are exempt from regular oversight and evaluation, and issue unrecognised certificates that hold no official validity with the ministry.

Consequently, the Ministry of Labour strongly advises individuals to verify the legal license of any training organisation before proceeding with registration.
