Muscat-  The Ministry of Interior has announced the preliminary lists of candidates for the fourth-term municipal council elections, with 803 candidates, including 16 women.

The lists have been published through the ‘Entekhab’ (Election) app and the official election website, allowing voters and candidates to review the preliminary nominations.

The announcement marks the latest step towards the fourth-term municipal council elections, which will see candidates compete for membership of municipal councils across the Sultanate of Oman.

The Ministry has urged those concerned to review the published lists through the designated electronic platforms.

The preliminary candidate lists are available through the ‘Entekhab’ app and at elections.om.
