Salalah – Ministry of Health (MoH) has issued a health advisory for visitors and tourists traveling to the Dhofar governorate during the khareef season.

Authorities have emphasised that visitors must take vital precautions to protect themselves from mosquito bites amidst the seasonal fog and mist.

Tourists are strongly advised to wear suitable clothing that covers the skin, use effective mosquito repellents, and stay away from areas where water or insects gather.

Additionally, visitors should monitor for any unusual health symptoms and consult a doctor immediately if needed, ensuring a safe and healthy experience during their trip, MoH stated.
