Ibri – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth will launch the Youth Initiatives Incubator in Ibri, Dhahirah governorate on June 13, with the participation of 22 youth-led initiatives. The five-day programme aims to empower young Omanis by enhancing the quality, sustainability and impact of their community initiatives.
The Youth Initiatives Incubator serves as an integrated platform designed to develop promising youth initiatives and help transform them from ideas or early-stage activities into impactful and sustainable projects. It seeks to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and organisational capabilities needed to strengthen their initiatives and maximise their contribution to society.
The incubator focuses on developing and institutionalising initiative ideas, building the organisational and administrative capacities of participants, improving the quality of content and activities delivered, and expanding their social impact. It also provides a supportive environment for testing and implementing innovative ideas, accelerating the readiness of initiatives to obtain official licensing and operate more effectively.
The programme is structured around three main tracks. The first focuses on refining initiative concepts and developing clear operational frameworks through the analysis of ideas and alignment with community needs and national development priorities.
The second track aims to enhance the quality of content and activities offered by initiatives, strengthen methods for measuring social impact, and establish sustainable plans for continuous development and growth.
The third concentrates on building the capacities of initiative members by developing soft skills, promoting a culture of teamwork and institutional excellence, and providing training in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Through these tracks, the incubator seeks to foster innovation, strengthen youth participation in community development, and support the creation of impactful initiatives capable of delivering long-term social value.
