Batinah – Royal Oman Police (ROP) apprehended individuals involved in two separate criminal incidents across the Batinah governorates. In the South Batinah Governorate, police arrested a person of Arab nationality who stole a vehicle in Rustaq. The incident occurred after the vehicle’s owner stopped to assist the suspect following a road traffic accident; the individual then fled the scene with the vehicle towards Musannah. Legal procedures are currently underway against the suspect.

Separately, the Royal Oman Police in the North Batinah Governorate arrested an individual of Asian nationality for stealing gold jewellery from the residence of another person of the same nationality in Liwa. Official legal proceedings are being completed against the accused in this case as well.
