Muscat – Oman Broadband Company has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Education to support the Khazana project, a national initiative aimed at promoting financial literacy and entrepreneurial awareness among school students.

The partnership forms part of the company’s corporate social investment programme and reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen public-private collaboration in supporting innovative educational initiatives that equip students with skills required for the future economy.

Under the agreement, Oman Broadband will sponsor and support the Al Tajer Al Sagheer (The Little Entrepreneur) initiative, which targets students from Grades 7 to 11. The programme seeks to develop entrepreneurship, financial literacy and practical business skills through hands-on learning experiences and applied activities.

The initiative is designed to foster innovation among students, introduce the concepts of the knowledge economy at an early stage and help nurture a generation capable of entrepreneurial thinking and managing small business ventures.

The agreement was signed by Khalfan bin Mohammed Al Amri, Vice President of Technology at Oman Broadband Company, and Dr Faisal bin Ali Al Busaidi, Director-General of Information Technology and Communications at the Ministry of Education.

The signing ceremony was attended by H E Majid bin Said Al Bahri, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs in the Ministry of Education, Sultan bin Ahmed Al Wahaibi, CEO of Oman Broadband Company, and a number of officials from both sides.
