Muscat – Royal Oman Police (ROP) has issued a formal public safety warning concerning the grave dangers posed by carbon monoxide (CO) gas. The authorities have advised citizens and residents that this gas, which is described as a silent killer, can accumulate when individuals remain inside a vehicle while the engine is running. Such behaviour poses a significant risk of suffocation, which can lead to fatal consequences.
Consequently, the police have urged the public to prioritise the safety of themselves and their families by avoiding this practice entirely, thereby preventing preventable tragedies caused by this invisible and hazardous gas.
