Muscat – Cabinet held a joint meeting with Majlis A’Shura at the Cabinet building in Muscat, aimed at reinforcing ongoing coordination between state institutions and establishing shared visions to advance the nation’s economic, social, and developmental sectors. The high-level session was presided over by H H Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs.

At the beginning of the meeting, H H Sayyid Shihab commended the dedicated efforts of Majlis A’Shura in serving the nation and its citizens. He highlighted the council’s pivotal role in supporting the comprehensive development process in the Sultanate of Oman, which accelerates progress towards broader horizons and safeguards national achievements. His Highness further emphasised that the Cabinet attaches the necessary care and attention to the viewpoints and proposals presented by the Shura Council, actively supporting its initiatives designed to enhance overall development and satisfy the aspirations of Omani citizens.

On their part, H E Khalid al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis A’Shura and their Excellencies the members of Majlis A’Shura expressed their deep appreciation for the consistent attention and commitment shown by the Cabinet. They praised the executive branch’s keenness to solidify joint action and deepen permanent coordination between the two councils. The officials noted that this close cooperation yields a positive impact, ensuring the integration of all national efforts dedicated to serving the strategic development of the country.
