North Batinah – Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has successfully recovered a total of RO3,390 for a consumer. This financial recovery followed the successful settlement of an official complaint lodged against a commercial establishment operating within the vehicle sales sector.

The incident began when a consumer filed a complaint stating that he had purchased a vehicle from the establishment and paid the full sum of RO3,390. Despite receiving the complete payment, the supplier failed to deliver the vehicle on the agreed date and continued to procrastinate regarding the delivery timeline. Faced with these continuous delays, the consumer approached the Directorate General of Consumer Protection in North Batinah to seek assistance.

Upon receiving the complaint, the authority initiated the necessary procedures to examine the details of the case. Through institutional mediation, officials managed to reach an amicable settlement between the two parties, ensuring that the establishment fully refunded the exact amount to the consumer.
