Muscat – The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced the launch of its Summer Training Programme 2026 as part of efforts to empower Omani youth and equip them with practical experience in the civil aviation sector.

The programme targets undergraduate students and fresh graduates, offering training opportunities across a wide range of disciplines, including telecommunications engineering, aviation management, cybersecurity, digital media, accounting, business administration and information technology, among others.

The authority stated that the programme will accommodate 60 trainees and aims to provide a professional training environment that helps participants enhance their technical and professional skills in line with the objectives of Oman’s National Aviation Strategy 2040.

The initiative reflects the authority’s commitment to investing in young national talent and introducing students to the operational environment of the civil aviation sector, considered one of the key sectors supporting economic diversification in the sultanate. The programme is also expected to strengthen participants’ readiness for the labour market by refining their administrative and technical capabilities and exposing them to institutional work practices and advanced technologies used in the aviation industry.

The authority noted that the programme is likely to attract strong interest from students in disciplines related to aviation, logistics and digital transformation, amid growing employment opportunities in these sectors.

Applicants must be Omani nationals, and the training must be a graduation requirement. Candidates are also required to submit a recent official letter from their educational institution.
