Muscat- His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday issued Royal Decree No. 55/2026 ratifying an agreement between the Sultanate of Oman and the French Republic on granting work permits to spouses of employees serving in official missions.

The agreement, signed in Paris on April 14, 2026, aims to facilitate employment opportunities for spouses of diplomatic and official mission staff in both countries.

Article 1 of the decree stipulates ratification of the agreement in accordance with the attached version.

Article 2 states that the decree will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force from the date of its issuance.
