Muscat – Oman is set to join other Gulf Cooperation Council countries on May 3 to celebrate the 38th Gulf Traffic Week. The initiative, which is held under the slogan “Cross Safely,” aims to enhance road safety awareness and will continue until May 7. The event reflects a unified regional effort to promote safer driving habits and pedestrian security across the Gulf.

The Royal Oman Police will lead the celebrations by organising a variety of educational events and awareness exhibitions across different governorates. These activities are being held in collaboration with various government institutions and relevant private sector companies. The primary goal of these exhibitions is to educate the public on traffic laws and the importance of vigilance while using the road.

In the Muscat Governorate, Eng. Ahmed bin Saeed al Amri, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, will officially inaugurate the main awareness exhibition this Sunday. The event will be hosted at Mall of Oman. This central exhibition serves as a key platform for community engagement and traffic safety education.
