Salalah — The Scout Major, Ahmed bin Mubarak Al Badri, Vice Chairman of the Committee of Scouts and Guides in the Sultanate of Oman, delivered a keynote address highlighting the historic journey of the Scout Union of Arab Pioneers since its founding in Muscat in 1984.

Speaking on the growth of the movement, Al Badri noted that the Union has continuously expanded its reach and now encompasses 20 Arab nations. This milestone has been driven by comprehensive, high-quality programs that recognize and honor highly experienced Scout leaders across the region.

The forum’s itinerary features visits to key tourist and heritage destinations throughout the Dhofar Governorate, alongside targeted scouting activities. These efforts aim to reinforce Oman’s role as a premier host for regional and Arab scouting and guiding gatherings, while providing a platform to discuss strategic proposals for advancing scout work.
