Duqm – Royal Oman Police (ROP) has successfully arrested two individuals in Duqm for their involvement in human smuggling activities. The suspects were intercepted while facilitating the illegal entry of 23 individuals of African nationality into the Sultanate. According to official reports, the suspects attempted to transport the group in their vehicle and subsequently tried to flee from law enforcement officers before being detained.

All 23 infiltrators were taken into custody on charges of entering the country illegally. The Royal Oman Police confirmed that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to secure national borders and combat illicit migration. Legal procedures are currently being finalised against both the facilitators and the infiltrators as the authorities continue their investigation into the incident.
