RO15 fine for unauthorised parking: Royal Hospital

26 Apr 2026 RO15 fine for unauthorised parking: Royal Hospital By OUR CORRESPONDENT

Muscat – Royal Hospital has issued a formal advisory to all visitors regarding the enforcement of parking regulations within the hospital’s surrounding premises. To ensure the smooth flow of traffic and maintain emergency access routes, the authorities have implemented a strict policy against random or unauthorised parking. Visitors who fail to adhere to designated parking zones will now be subject to a fixed financial penalty of RO15. This measure is intended to reduce congestion and improve the overall experience for patients and medical staff requiring urgent access to the facility.

In a proactive effort to provide a convenient and cost-free alternative for the public, the hospital has partnered with Mwasalat to facilitate a dedicated transport link. Visitors are encouraged to utilise the ample parking spaces available at the Sultanate Qaboos Sports Complex at no charge. From this location, a complimentary shuttle service is provided to transport individuals directly to the Royal Hospital. This integrated transport solution is designed to eliminate the stress of searching for parking in high-demand areas while ensuring that visitors do not incur unnecessary fines.

Public cooperation is requested to ensure that the immediate vicinity of the hospital remains clear for essential services.
