Muscat – Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has issued a comprehensive guide detailing the specific critical medical conditions that qualify for the national home ambulance service. This initiative aims to ensure that life-threatening emergencies receive immediate professional intervention.

The authority has identified several high-priority categories, including severe respiratory illnesses, critical heart conditions, and sudden loss of consciousness. Additionally, the service is designed to respond to urgent cases such as acute poisoning, severe electric shocks, and advanced or complicated labour. By defining these parameters, the authority seeks to streamline emergency responses for serious injuries, fractures, and neurological crises, ensuring that those in the most vulnerable states receive the necessary care within their homes.
