Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik was at the forefront of the reception today to welcome his brother, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar. The Emir arrived at the Sultan’s Private Airport for a private fraternal visit to Oman, highlighting the deep-rooted and historic relationship between the two nations.

Upon arrival, the two leaders passed between two rows of the Royal Guard of Oman’s guard of honour, signifying the high level of respect and the strong bonds of kinship shared by the two countries. Following the formal reception at the airport, the motorcade of His Majesty the Sultan and the Emir of Qatar proceeded to Al Barakah Palace. The visit is expected to focus on further strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing matters of mutual interest to both the Omani and Qatari peoples within a warm and friendly atmosphere.
