Muscat – H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine, in Muscat on Thursday.

The meeting reviewed the friendly relations and avenues of bilateral cooperation between Oman and Ukraine, as well as ways to further develop the partnership in areas of mutual interest.

The two sides also discussed regional developments and ongoing efforts to promote security and stability. They affirmed their countries’ support for de-escalation, the containment of tensions, and the pursuit of lasting peace through dialogue and peaceful means.

The meeting was attended by Munther Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Head of the Europe Department at the Foreign Ministry; H E Olha Selykh, Ambassador of Ukraine to Oman; and several officials from both sides.
