During the conversation, the two leaders reviewed the latest developments across the region, particularly in the wake of the recently announced ceasefire. Both His Majesty and President Macron emphasised the critical importance of maintaining this momentum and building upon it to ensure lasting peace. They further highlighted the necessity of continued international efforts to address the underlying causes of conflict, which remains essential for securing regional and international stability.

In addition to regional security, President Emmanuel Macron expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the recent diplomatic efforts undertaken by the Sultanate. These efforts successfully led to the release of two French citizens who had been detained in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The French President praised the constructive and active role played by His Majesty in supporting de-escalation initiatives and promoting peaceful, diplomatic solutions to complex international issues.
