Suhar – Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has announced the temporary closure of the Humaidah Bridge located on the Sohar-Buraimi Road. This scheduled closure is set to last for a duration of eight days, commencing on April 6, to allow for necessary maintenance work to be carried out on the structure. The ministry has developed a comprehensive traffic diversion plan to ensure the continued flow of vehicles during this period and to minimize disruption for regular commuters.

Travelers arriving from the Wilayat of Buraimi and heading towards the Wilayat of Mahdah are instructed to use the alternative bypass road situated approximately 1km away from the bridge. Conversely, those travelling from the Wilayat of Mahdah towards the Wilayat of Sohar should utilize the bypass road starting at the Al-Zaroub Bridge. These measures are essential to maintain connectivity between the regions while the bridge remains inaccessible to traffic.

In its official statement, the ministry urges all road users to exercise extreme caution and remain vigilant while navigating the affected areas. It is vital that motorists strictly adhere to the designated traffic diversions and follow the directional signage placed at the site to ensure the safety of all individuals.
