Muscat – The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has stated that a low-pressure system is expected to affect parts of the sultanate from April 9 to April 12, with limited overall impact.
According to the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre, cloud cover will increase over most northern governorates, with chances of scattered light to moderate rainfall that may occasionally be accompanied by thunderstorm.
The CAA noted that accompanying conditions could include fresh winds and rising dust and sand in some areas. Sea conditions are also expected to deteriorate, with higher wave heights forecast.
Authorities cautioned that rainfall may lead to runoff in some wadis, and advised the public to follow official weather bulletins and exercise caution.
