North Sharqiyah – The governorates of North Sharqiyah experienced a period of intense weather during the early hours of Thursday. Heavy to medium rainfall was reported across several wilayats, leading to the significant flow of numerous wadis. In the Wilayat of Ibra, villages saw a heavy downpours that caused major valleys like Wadi al Qafifa to overflow. Similarly, Al Mudhaibi faced intense rain in Al Jarda and Al Rawdah, resulting in the heavy flow of Wadi Andam and Wadi Al Maawil.
The weather system also impacted the Wilayat of Al Qabil and Bidiyah, where villages recorded varying levels of precipitation accompanied by active downward winds. In Wadi Bani Khalid and Dima Wattayeen, the rainfall led to the formation of large water ponds and the rushing of mountainous streams. Furthermore, the Wilayat of Sinaw reported a mixture of heavy rain and hail, particularly affecting Wadi Al Batha and surrounding eastern villages. This widespread weather event has brought significant water flow to the region, and authorities continue to monitor the impact on local infrastructure and communities.
