Muscat – Dr Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will pay an official visit to Oman on Tuesday.

The Diwan of Royal Court issued a statement to this effect reading as follows:

‘Dr Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, will begin a two-day official visit to Oman from May 27 in consolidation of the long-standing friendship and relations between Oman and Iran and in support for ongoing bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The visit is based on the keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to do everything possible that might help upgrade relations and establish a more prosperous future for their peoples.

‘During the visit, the two sides will discuss various areas of common interest to the two friendly countries with a view to fulfil the aspirations of their peoples. They will also study means of safeguarding their mutual interests within the context of updates in the regional and international arenas.’
