Tesla set for Saudi Arabia launch

26 Mar 2025

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Tesla is set to make its official entry into Saudi Arabia, with a grand launch event scheduled for April 10 at Bujairi Terrace.

In a statement on its website, the electric vehicle manufacturer extended an invitation to the public, promising an immersive experience featuring its best-selling EV line-up, solar energy solutions, and cutting-edge battery technology. Attendees will also have the opportunity to witness the future of autonomous driving with Tesla’s Cybercab and meet Optimus, the company’s humanoid robot.

Tesla’s expansion into the Saudi market comes at a challenging time, as the company faces declining demand, investor sell-offs, and controversy surrounding CEO Elon Musk’s political views. However, with the Kingdom’s increasing focus on sustainability and renewable energy as part of Vision 2030, the move is seen as a strategic opportunity for the brand.

Tesla vehicles have been available in the Gulf region for several years, with the company operating in the UAE since 2017 and Qatar following suit. Saudi Arabia, however, represents a new and potentially lucrative market for the automaker.
