Amman, Jordan – The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), participated in the fourth meeting of the General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organisation (DCO), held in Amman, Jordan. The Omani delegation was led by H E Eng Said bin Hamoud al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.
During the meeting, Oman was re-elected to the Executive Committee of the DCO, reaffirming its commitment to advancing digital transformation and fostering international cooperation in the technology sector.
The re-election reflects the Sultanate’s active role in developing policies, enhancing digital economy initiatives, and strengthening cross-border partnerships within the organisation.
The DCO aims to promote digital inclusion and economic growth through cooperation among its member states, focusing on innovation, digital entrepreneurship, and bridging the global digital divide.
Oman’s participation in the General Assembly aligns with its Vision 2040 objectives, which prioritise technological advancement, digital infrastructure development, and a knowledge-based economy.
