Abu Dhabi, UAE – UAE has announced a high-speed train project linking Abu Dhabi and Dubai, reducing travel time to just 30 minutes with speeds of up to 350 km/h.

Developed by Etihad Rail, the project aims to enhance economic growth, tourism, and sustainability under the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy. It will strengthen connectivity between the emirates and improve infrastructure for businesses and residents.

The initiative includes the country’s first passenger rail network, with initial stations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah, integrating with metro and bus services. Expected to contribute AED 145 billion to the UAE’s GDP over 50 years, the project marks a major step towards modern, eco-friendly transportation.
