Muscat – On Tuesday the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center in Washington, D.C., marked Oman’s 54th National Day with a memorable celebration of the nation’s history, culture, and aspirations. The event, held with great enthusiasm, brought together Omani dignitaries, students, and international guests to honor the rich heritage of the Sultanate.
A highlight of the event was a speech by students from Ahmed bin Majid International School, currently engaged in a collaborative research mission with NASA. Their inspiring address detailed Oman’s cultural history and the innovative objectives of their research visit. The event was attended by notable personalities, including Ms. Sabira Ahmed Al-Hooti, Deputy Head of Mission at the Omani Embassy, and Dr. Majid Al-Khalili, President of the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center. Both expressed pride in Oman’s progress and the active role of its younger generation in representing the country globally.
Omani students studying abroad also participated, sharing their experiences and highlighting how Oman’s cultural values influence their aspirations.
