Muscat – Food Safety and Quality Center in Oman has issued a formal safety warning regarding the “GODIVA Kunafah & Pistachio Milk Chocolate Bar”. The recall, initiated by the manufacturer, Pladis Arabia Food Manufacturing Company, follows the discovery of an undeclared egg ingredient in the product. Because eggs are not listed on the nutritional label, this poses a significant health risk to consumers with egg allergies or sensitivities, who may unknowingly consume the ingredient and suffer adverse reactions.
The affected chocolate bars are 35-gram packs with the barcode 6281100355441 and were manufactured in Saudi Arabia. In response, the authorities have directed that the product be removed from all markets to ensure consumer safety. Consumers who have purchased this item are strongly advised not to consume it if they or anyone in their household has an egg allergy, and they are encouraged to dispose of the product immediately.
