Jiangsu, China – The world’s most powerful floating offshore wind turbine, boasting a generating capacity of 20 megawatts, has officially rolled off the production line in China’s Jiangsu Province.

This technological achievement marks a major milestone in renewable energy, particularly in offshore wind power generation. Floating offshore turbines enable installation in deeper waters, where wind speeds are stronger and more consistent, offering a significant advantage over traditional fixed turbines.

The new 20 MW turbine’s increased capacity allows for greater electricity generation from fewer units, significantly boosting efficiency while minimising environmental impact.
