Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik spoke over phone with King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain on Monday.

During the call, the two leaders discussed the latest developments in the Middle East crisis, ongoing efforts to bring it to an end, as well as means to secure maritime navigation.

They also affirmed the need to intensify regional and international efforts to protect the interests of states, ensure the safety of peoples and resolve disputes through peaceful and diplomatic means, in accordance with the principles of international law. This, they emphasised, is essential to ensuring respect for the sovereignty of states and consolidating regional and international security and peace.
